$388.00
Print Product
A wood map featuring Portland, Casco Bay, and the Gulf of Maine. Portland is Maine's largest city, with the greater metropolitan area being home to over half a million people. The city has a rich history, with the first European settlement dating back to 1623. It was named for the English Isle of Portland, and the city of Portland, Oregon was later named after Portland, Maine. Today, it is known for its various art and history museums and the famous Old Port district, along with the Portland Head Light are major tourist attractions. This piece comes ready to hang, pre-framed in a custom, solid-wood frame. Its rich contours are carefully crafted from laser-cut layers of Baltic birch, which are hand colored and glued together with the intent that each becomes a prized conversational piece and treasured heirloom.
