Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yeast packet with 1 1/4 cups of lukewarm water. Stir with a fork until the mixture forms a dough. Knead the dough by hand for about 3 minutes, or until it becomes soft and smooth. Place the dough into a clean, lightly oiled bowl, and cover tightly with plastic wrap.
Allow the dough to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. If desired, you can refrigerate the dough at this stage and use it within 1-3 days.
Step 2: Preheat your oven and pizza stone or baking pan to 450°F. Divide the dough into 2-4 equal portions, depending on your preferred pizza size. Shape each portion into a pizza base by hand or roll it out on parchment paper using a rolling pin. Top with sauce, your choice of toppings, and cheese.
Step 3: Using a pizza peel, transfer the pizza (with parchment paper) to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
