Our Longpi Pottery Dinner Plates are masterfully handcrafted by skilled artisans in a small village in Manipur, India, using traditional methods passed down through generations. Each plate is carefully shaped without the aid of a potter's wheel, utilizing locally-sourced weathered rock and serpentine clay. After being air-dried, the plates are polished with a native leaf and fired to achieve their distinctive velvety matte finish and rich black hue.
Please note, each plate is made of hand-thrown clay in India, so there will be slight variations in size and shape making each piece unique.
Dishwasher safe on gentle cycle with mild detergent or handwash to preserve the finish. Make sure each piece is dried thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and to maintain the unique luster.
