Our Longpi Pottery Dinner Plates are skillfully handcrafted by artisans in a traditional village in Manipur, India, using techniques that have been preserved for generations. Carefully shaped by hand without a potter's wheel, each plate is made from locally-sourced weathered rock and serpentine clay. The plates are air-dried, polished with a native leaf, and fired to achieve their signature velvety matte finish and deep black tone.
Each plate is made of hand-thrown clay in India, so there will be slight variations in size and shape making each piece unique.
Dishwasher safe on gentle cycle with mild detergent or handwash to preserve the finish. Make sure each piece is dried thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and to maintain the unique luster.
