Our Longpi Pottery Mug Set is expertly handcrafted by artisans in a village in Manipur, India, using traditional, time-honored methods. Each mug is carefully shaped by hand, without the use of a potter's wheel, utilizing locally-sourced weathered rock and serpentine clay. After being air-dried, the mugs are polished with a local leaf and fired to achieve their signature velvety matte finish and distinctive black color.
Please note, each mug is made of hand-thrown clay in India, so there will be slight variations in size and shape making each piece unique.
Dishwasher safe on gentle cycle with mild detergent or handwash to preserve the finish. Make sure each piece is dried thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and to maintain the unique luster
