Our Longpi Pottery Bowls are handmade by skilled artisans in a village in Manipur, India, using traditional methods passed down through generations. Crafted without a potter's wheel, each bowl is carefully shaped from locally sourced weathered-rock and serpentine clay. After air-drying, the bowls are polished with a local leaf and fired to create their distinctive velvety matte finish and rich black color.
Please note, each plate is made of hand-thrown clay in India, so there will be slight variations in size and shape making each piece unique.
Dishwasher safe on gentle cycle with mild detergent or handwash to preserve the finish. Make sure each piece is dried thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and to maintain the unique luster
