The tanneries of Fez and Marrakech are renowned for their vibrant colors and diverse selection of hides. Using natural vegetable dyes such as saffron (yellow), mint (green), poppy flower (red), indigo (blue), henna (orange), and cedar wood (brown), artisans create stunningly rich hues. The slippers in the Verve Culture Collection are enhanced with intricate embroidery and tassels, available in two striking color combinations: orange with blue accents and blue with fuchsia details.

Chouara Tannery, located in the oldest Medina quarter of Fez, has been perfecting its craft since the 11th century. To this day, the tanneries of Fez and Marrakech remain globally celebrated for producing some of the world’s most sought-after leathers.
