In Dé, the play of chiaroscuro – light and shadow – which is so characteristic of Ann Demeulemeester's style, is translated into tableware. The result is a collection of red paintings on porcelain.
Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian fashion designer whose eponymous label has become known as a staple at the annual Paris Fashion Week. Demeulemeester is influenced by gothic, punk, and Japanese cult styles. Each of these aesthetics is showcased through her garments and have been translated into this new tableware collection - combining art with functional design.
