A Glass of Spring Fling

A Glass of Spring Fling

We know spring is here, but do your beverages?

If you're looking for some sun-spiration for your mixed drinks, look no further than inside Shake: A New Perspective on Cocktails, the all-season cocktail book by Eric Prum & Josh Williams.

It won't take much page turning to find a concoction that will give your taste buds a reminder that it's time to go outside and enjoy the sun.

We tried our hand at one of their classic spring cocktails and have to admit that it simply would be a disservice if we didn't share with you guys as well.

The Blackberry Fence Hopper
(makes 2 drinks)
2 shots vodka
1 shot fresh lemon juice
1 shot wildflower honey
8 fresh blackberries (plus 4 for garnish)
2 slices of lemon (for garnish)
  1. Add the lemon juice.
  2. Muddle the ingredients in the bottom of the shaker until thoroughly crushed.
  3. Add the vodka and ice to above the level of the liquid and shake vigorously for 10 seconds
  4. Strain the mixture into tumblers containing large cubes of ice, top with seltzer, and garnish with remaining blackberries and lemon slices.
